Therapy Prices / Pastoral Counseling and Training:

Initial evaluation:
To start a therapeutic process, it is essential that the person has an initial evaluation, with which the therapist evaluates the roots of the current problem, and provides a contextualization of the therapeutic path. This evaluation lasts an hour and a half, the value of this first appointment is $150 per person. At the end of the evaluation, the therapist will recommend the most appropriate service according to the client's needs (Psychotherapy - Catholic Counseling or Catholic Coaching)

Follow-up sessions:
Once the therapeutic path has been established, follow-up psychotherapy sessions cost $100 individually, $150 per couple and $85 in groups. Follow-up sessions in Catholic Counseling or Catholic Coaching, have a value of $80 individually, $120 dollars per couple and $70 Group. All sessions are 50 minutes in length and are prorated for longer sessions.

For clients who have purchased a package, the late cancellation appointment will be deducted from the remaining sessions within the purchased package.

Out-of-network insurance:
Many insurances cover all or part of the therapeutic sessions through their mental health benefits (This is exclusively for people who have a psychotherapeutic or psychiatric diagnosis, NOT for those who have a process of pastoral counseling or Catholic couching).
Insurance requires a Psychotherapy CPT code; for 50-minute individual psychotherapy sessions, the CPT code is 90837 and for family sessions it is 90847. Some insurances may also request a statement from the therapist for reimbursement purposes, which will be provided upon client request. When checking your coverage with your insurance, you can ask the following questions for clarification:

Do I have mental health benefits?
How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
How much does my insurance pay for out-of-pocket provider services? and the network?
How do I issue reimbursement for services from out-of-network providers? What is my deductible and has it been met?
Is there a limitation on how much insurance will cover per session?
Primary care physician approval required?
